Activities

All Villagers are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of social activities.  Villagers host and attend community dances and parties and have opportunities to attend a variety of field trips including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Astros baseball games, fishing, BBQs at the beach, the circus and the movies.

Villagers play bingo, hunt Easter eggs, participate in numerous arts and crafts projects, have sing-a-longs and enjoy many other activities provided by area schools and church groups.  Everyone looks forward to the Spring Dance in May and “Fun Day” in October which are sponsored by our Parents Group.

Villagers may attend weekly bowling, church, Sunday School and monthly birthday celebrations provided by Friendswood Wal-Mart at El Dorado.

Each Villager is invited to participate in our Annual Holiday Show which delights all in attendance including parents, families, volunteers and friends.

Hope Village has its own outdoor pool, paved walking track and recreation center for the Villager's use. We also have a garden, commercial basketball hoop and plenty of outdoor activities. Villagers are encouraged to participate in our Recreation and Fitness program which is designed for their individual level of ability.

"We chose Hope Village for our son because we liked the people,
their warmth and their program."
