Hope Village relies heavily on its many, energetic volunteers who generously donate their talent and time to the Hope Village Community. Hope Village is able to deliver affordable services to our clients through cost savings made possible by many hours of time given each year by volunteers. Volunteers’ presence on the campus also provides an opportunity for Villagers to make new friends.

There are many opportunities for volunteers at Hope Village. Volunteers can help our residents and day program participants with cleaning, painting and glazing ceramics that are available for purchase in the Gift Shop, serve as hostesses in the Village Cafe' or help prepare items for sale in our Resale Shop.

We also have volunteers that provide animal therapy programs; help with remodeling, construction and gardening projects; organize games and play sports with Villagers; provide entertaining concerts and programs; assist with the golf tournament and other fundraising activities; provide monthly birthday celebrations; chaperone field trips and dances; and provide professional services.

Hope Village participates in corporate matching/volunteer programs for employees and retirees. Please ask your company if they offer such a program.

Tea Room - cashier, greeter, assisting Villagers with serving meals, cleaning tables and customer service. Volunteer opportunities are available Tuesday - Friday from 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 1 day per month. Please call 281-482-6271 for information.

Resale Shop - sales, sorting, laundering of clothing, pricing, stocking, displays, etc. Volunteer opportunities available Tuesday - Saturday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please call 281-996-7045 for information.

Gardening/Landscaping – herb and vegetable garden 1 to 2 hours per week. Day, evening, or weekends. Large groups or individuals are invited at any time to weed or maintain flower beds, plant trees or flower beds. Projects and civic groups welcome. Please call 281-482-7926 for more information.

Recreation – Parties, Bingo, games, and exercise assistance. Large groups, individuals, civic groups and special projects welcome. Please call 281-482-1663 for available times.
